Melina Astyrakaki holds degrees in Biology and Psychology, with postgraduate studies in Cognitive Psychology and Neuropsychology, as well as specialization in Systemic Psychotherapy. From a young age, she dedicated herself to classical and contemporary dance, an engagement that cultivated her deep connection with the body and movement for over 25 years.

Today, she works as a psychologist, systemic psychotherapist, and yoga instructor, guiding and supporting people on their journey of self-discovery and inner transformation. She combines her profound understanding of the mind, body, and human experience into her work.

Her journey in yoga began in 2020, when she completed a Yoga Teacher Training Course (200 hours) in Vinyāsa Yoga under the guidance of Claire Lalande (Yoga De La Fronderie). The year 2024 marked a milestone in her life as she met her teacher, Dario Calvaruso, and was introduced to the new method of Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa.

From her first encounter with Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa, Melina was captivated by the authenticity and the harmonious blend of tradition and innovation that this method embodies. The unwavering focus on breath, the elegance of movement, and the melodic chants opened for her a new dimension of meditative and transformative practice. Since then, she has devoted herself to deepening, studying, and teaching Navakaraṇa, which she has been teaching in Athens over the past year.

As the first and only certified Navakaraṇa instructor in Greece, Melina is eager to share this unique practice, traveling to festivals, events, and retreats. Her vision is to create a vibrant community that will embrace and spread Navakaraṇa, bringing this transformative method to more people.
