Mariza Hahathaki was born in the city of Kelona in Canada and grew up on the island of Lesvos. After graduating from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the Department of Preschool Education, she continued with the postgraduate course in Counseling Psychology "Counseling in the field of Health, education and Special Education". While doing her internship she had the opportunity to work for three years at the Pedagogical University of Volos, providing counseling to university students. After finishing her postgraduate studies, she returned to Lesvos in 2019. Since then she has been working with refugee groups in the camps of Moria and Mavrovouni, providing psychosocial support to vulnerable groups of children and adults. Furthermore, her passion for offering to the local community led her to collaborate with various local associations by organizing events for children and adults in Lesvos. At the same time, her great love for the field of Mental Health does not stop there as her dream is to practice the profession as a Systemic Psychotherapist. For the last two years Mariza has been attending the four-year Systemic-Family Education at the ESYTHEPAS center
