Jilian Lambert
Jillian Lambert is South African born and currently spends the majority of her time in Cape Town, South Africa.
She had a 20 year corporate career in Human Resources Management, within national and international companies, her last corporate position being the Human Resources Director of McDonalds’ South Africa.
After leaving the corporate world in 2003, The People Practice was her first business she started to provide businesses with Human Resource Solutions. Over the past years this has included long term retainer clients, project work, training & development, strategy facilitation and ad hoc HR advice both locally and internationally.
In 2009 Jillian completed her nia White Belt training and started teaching nia. Having now completed five Nia Technique intensives (White Belt, Blue Belt, Brown Belt, Green Belt and 5 Stages) she continues to learn and share this great practice by offering classes and workshops in and around Cape Town and in other countries when she travels. Nia Technique forms an integral part of her life and is incorporated in all the modalities she offers.
After leaving the corporate world in 2003, Jillian committed to experience life on a deeper level. This guided her to number of changes in her life including taking up yoga and promising to travel out of the country annually. These two commitments combined into an incredible sequence of synchronicities and delights which led to the first Nia-Yoga Greece Getaway in Molyvos, in June 2011 which she co-hosted with her sister Rene. They have now formed Magic Moments Getaways & Retreats which is a growing retreat business, both locally and internationally. This has laid the foundation for more local and international retreats and getaways which offer participants a variety of options when it comes to ‘getting away from it all’.
Jillian has been travelling annually to Molyvos since 2005, initially to spend time with Angela Farmer and Victor van Koorten in their yoga workshops and then since 2011 with her groups she facilitates with her sister.
“Molyvos captured my heart on my first visit and through the incredible people, places and experiences I have gradually claimed my essence back to be more of the original Jillian I was born to be… the island of Lesvos is balm for my soul’
