Paul Amiel

Paul Amiel studied Kinko-ryu shakuhachi with Iida Katsutoshi in Nagoya, Japan, and founded the Empty Bamboo Shakuhachi Circle in Tucson in 2014. He has served as the Artistic Director of Yume Japanese Gardens in Tucson, Arizona. Amiel is also active in a variety of world music traditions, playing medieval harp, Chinese guqin, Ancient Greek lyre, and other instruments. He regularly appears with his Balkan duo, Kyklo.
